Dr. Hannibal Lecter…

That name sparks emotion and chill just thinking about it – Silence of the Lambs is undoubtedly a classic.

Now consider watching this fascinating literary character comes to life on television – every week!!

For the first time: psychiatrist-turned-serial-killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter is the focal point of a new drama from Bryan Fuller (“Pushing Daisies,” “Heroes”), based on the characters from Thomas Harris’ classic novels.

FBI Agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy, The Big C) hunts the most notorious serial killers. What he doesn’t know is his new partner is the most notorious serial killer of all. While Graham is pursuing an especially troubling, cannibalistic murderer, Special Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) teams him with a highly respected psychiatrist – a man with a taste for the criminal minded – Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen, Casino Royale). While Lecter and Graham work to unravel the mystery and catch the killer, Dr. Lecter tests him every step of the way, toying with Graham, playing a game all his own. Like only Lecter can, he twists Will’s mind, daring him to question everything he knows about others – and even more frightening – himself.

Intriguing? I think so!

Hannibal airs Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC
