Infographics—graphic visual representations of information, data, or knowledge—are among the hottest marketing tools in the online sphere today. A single infographic has the extraordinary potential to reach up to 15 million people. Infographic posts, as opposed to traditional posts, perform significantly better on such networking tools as Twitter, Linkedin, and Stumbleupon (measured by tweets, shares, and pageviews). Google ranks trends from 0-100 assigning a number to a keyword based on how often it is searched compared to other keywords. The term “infographic” ranks best in the following countries: the Philippines, South Africa, New Zealand, Netherlands, India, and the U.S.

You may be surprised to learn that the first infographic was published in 1626, but they really only became popular starting in 2009. 2012 was an amazing year for infographics. Want to learn how many hours you spend working every day to pay taxes? Curious about why startups fail? Very well designed infographics are available online for you to view on these topics and so many other interesting ones.
