Men in Pink Collar

Pink collar jobs are service oriented positions traditionally occupied by women. These include administrative work, nursing, teaching, social work, etc. Being popularized in the 1970’s when it became more acceptable for women to settle down in the workplace, pink collar jobs have always been hot.

Now like never before pink collar jobs are booming, but not in the way you’d expect. Move over ladies, haven’t you heard? Men can wear pink now, too!

The number of men entering pink collar jobs has nearly doubled in the last decade, the highest increase being 197% in dental hygienists.Librarians and licenced nurses following closesly after.
