Applications are the most important part of smartphones, without them your favorite smart phone would be boring and worthless. Everyday new applications are made. Some are free, while others are paid. But have you ever wondered how app developers decide how to monetize their apps?

Then there are freemiums. This is where basic game play is free, but premium items and services cost extra. Next, there is the option of pay per download. This option uses out-of-app search access points. Then you have your paid apps that can cost anywhere from $.99 to $200. Finally, there is notifications. These are advertisements that are placed in the notification tray of the device.
