Summer is the time for fun in the sun. The pools open, and everyone is out and about enjoying the weather, however, summertime can also have some detrimental impacts on a cities infrastructure.
Summer can bring about extreme droughts, which can be terrible for crops. Just in July 2012, 64% of the US was experiencing drought conditions. Not to mentioned gas prices go up because more people are driving, especially teenagers. Teen drivers average 44% hours behind the wheel each week during the summer.
We can't forget about the most popular summer day, July 4th. However, as fun as it is, there are 3 times more fires on this day than the average day summer day. Why? Fireworks of course.
