How important is buying U.S. made quality products? It pays to invest now and save later. Whether we are talking about the building of your home or how it affects our environment and fellow people; investing in a quality product is definitely the route to take.

When discussing the plantations shutters inside your home, foreign products are flimsy, not airtight and less energy efficient. Not to mention they are off the shelf, “cookie cutter” shutters. However, with U.S. made shutters, you will see quality construction to precise specifications. These shutters are tailor-made to be more energy efficient; because who doesn't want to save a few bucks?

If each American were to spend an extra $3.33 on U.S. made products, it would increase jobs in this country by about 10,000. Did you know the products you're buying that were manufactured overseas were made in a sweatshop with 85% of workers being young women between the ages of 15-25? Not only do underpaid workers come into play with buying foreign goods, we also have to take a look at what they're doing it our environment and what toxic chemicals they're being made with.

Speaking of toxic chemicals, more than 7 million accidental poisonings occur each year with more than 75% involving children under age 6. The toxic chemicals in household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause cancer than air pollution. The answer to all of this is quite simple. Buy quality and invest in the future of our environment and economy.
