What IS The True Cost of That iPhone?

So what did you pay, $299, $399, or maybe even $499 for your beloved iPhone?

That’s real money when you look at it from our (the consumer) level. When we spend that kind of money on anything we expect long-term value and hope to feel a return on our investment.

But step back a few degrees. Look at that iPhone from a macro-economic perspective. Look at it from the manufacturing, the shipping, the marketing, and even the eco perspectives.

That $300 starts to take on a more substantial meaning.
