Apple App Store 25 Billion Apps

The Apple App Store has made an astounding record of 25 billion downloads over the weekend. It has announced that Chunli Fu of China was the lucky man who downloaded Where’s My Water? – the 25th billion app.He received a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card that he could use to purchase countless apps of his choice.

In 2009, a 13-year-old boy named Connor Mulcahey from Connecticut downloaded the 1 billionth app. He won several amazing prizes that include a MacBook Pro, an iPod Touch, a Time Capsule along with $10,000 iTunes Gift Card. This has been the most extravagant prize Apple has given so far.

The Apple App Store started in July 2008 and has been in operation for more than 3 years, offering Apple users a wide variety of fun and interesting applications for their devices.
