This 46th Super Bowl could definitely be branded as the Social Bowl, because there are tons of new media happenings happening around the game. Not only is this the first game to be available via mobile devices (Verizon Wireless customers get this luxury), but there are also various mobile apps, for both iOS and Android that will allow you to interact with the game, the commercials and the happenings of the entire week and have the opportunity to win prizes.
Not to be outdone, the folks over at Shazam have thrown their app into the mix and, during the game, the halftime show and with Shazam-enabled TV ads, you could win cars, get free downloads and gift cards, make a donation to charity and enter a number of sweepstakes.
Along with that you can vote on your favorite ads, take part in game polls, get up-to-the-minute statistics, share your experiences on Facebook and Twitter, buy music and more.
If you don’t have the latest version of Shazam on your phone, be sure to download it before game-day, February 5th so you are guaranteed the optimum experience. You can do that here, on iTunes App Store and Android Market.
