To say that webpreneurs and social media influencers are passionate, would be an understatement.

Lately, I've been interacting more regularly on some key Twitter Chats (notably #smmanners, #toolschat, and #kloutchat).

What I've noticed is that there is a lot of anxiety, confusion, and yearning for answers as to how to become more influential across the social interweb. And the above mentioned forums are excellent resources for sharing and communicating implementation strategies and tool usage. So major props to the hosts of those forums/communities.

Let me start by saying, I don't have the title guru, expert, or ninja on my business card and will never play one on the internet. I am however, an avid user of technology that runs a number of web presences and communities that allow me to directly interact with businesses and individuals from varying backgrounds.

In other words – I know a bit about what I'm talking about. Spending time with many progressive thinkers in this space also helps.

The point of this post, however is not to tout my clout (pun intended…), but to have a regularly recurring dialogue with you, our readership, on what it really takes to be seen and heard across the social interweb.

During the most recent #kloutchat there were a number of individuals stating that they felt they weren't influential or weren't seeing the value of continuing to try to socially interact because they weren't receiving the elusive KloutPerk.

With the multiple platforms out there, we are ALL influential !! The vastness of the reach we can achieve literally spans the entire globe.

Don't be mis-guided or detracted by the sponsored, aggregated and occasionally trumpted up barrage of messages coming from the perceived celebrity. We as individuals have a voice, it may not initially reach 500,000 – 1 million viewers, but if the message is timely and relevant, then eventually you'll get the traction you're looking for. In other words – don't be discouraged.

I've reached out to a few key thought leaders in this social sharing space and will be hosting a recurring segment here on THE Tech Scoop that allows for cross dialogue, and interaction. We'll be hosting podcasts, and Twitter Chats to spread the knowledge.

That being said – do you have any specific topic(s) you'd like covered sooner?

Here is a transcript taken from the most recent #kloutchat
