  • Hmm I have yet to experience Google+ but by what you’re saying, it seems that it’s potential reaches far beyond the scope of Facebook! I’ve been hesitant about Google+ simply because of the transition from Facebook but now I’m getting more optimistic about it. Do you think it will end up dominating social media over Facebook?

  •  @StephRWong Thanks for your reply. Google+ will not overtake Facebook, reason being, Facebook is geared for the ease of use of the non-technical audience (think your parents, and grandparents typically).Actually, to point to a technology colleague, see this post that Robert Scoble wrote on the same topic: http://ow.ly/5C4EI All that being said, Google+ will have it’s place and should be very successful

  • While Google+ seemingly has a better ease of use as far as privacy concerns go.. Google makes a living out of selling our information. I trust them no more than I trust Facebook. I also think it will be harder to get older generations onto Google+, this could be a plus or a minus depending on who you’re asking 😉

  • Hey James, great comparison of the two social giants. Personally, I like the Circles interface for Google+ but would prefer the FB Groups over the former. It’s more like a closed connection if you see what I mean. With respect to chat, I would still prefer GChat over FB chat. The new side bar FB has introduced recently is quite annoying. I feel that Facebook has been doing a great job in connecting people but G+ has been proved to be great in sharing stuff so far.

  • @HicksNewMedia yes, absolutely! couldn’t agree more with you.. Google+ has lot of positive points to make it to the top. It would be interesting to see the three giants one year from now. One of our other Livefyre bloggers Julian from jztech101 has also shared some great thoughts on Google+ in one of his blog post. What do you think about the social war Julian?
