Interesting post title huh? I have wanted to write this for a while, but wanted to get 5 couples that I thought fit into my chosen criteria. That is – a couple (don't necessarily need to be married) that both work in the technology industry in some capacity, and are relatively familiar by either face, name or their overall contribution. They also had to be really cool people – with that, I think I've got a good list here!

Here is my list (in no particular order) – I'll leave it up to you to give your ranking in the comments below.

Couple 1: Pete Cashmore | Lisa Bettany

Pete Cashmore is the CEO and founder of Mashable, which he founded in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2005 at age 19. In 2009, Cashmore was chosen as one of Inc Magazine's 30 Under 30, Forbes' Top 25 Web Celebs and the Huffington Posts' Top 10 Game Changers 2009. Along with Mashable, Pete writes a weekly column on technology and social media at CNN. Cashmore's Twitter page, @mashable, is one of Twitter's 40 most-followed pages, with over 2 million followers. Pete Cashmore was also crowned by INQ Mobile as the most influential Briton and most influential Twitter user in the world in 2009.

Lisa Bettany is a professional photographer, tv/web personality & host based in San Francisco & NYC. Lisa is currently developing iPhone and iPad imaging apps with the team at tap tap tap, most notably the FX driven iPhone photography app, Camera+ which has sold over 2.5 million copies. Lisa recently launched Mostly365, a social photo sharing site to encourage photographers to shoot and share a photo everyday.

Lisa hosts her own photography show, Mostly Photo on the TWiT network with Leo Laporte.

How “good” is Lisa? Well one of her photos from the recent full eclipse we experienced is the wallpaper on my desktop computer – that's how much of a talented photographer I think she is.

Couple 2: Kevin Rose | Darya Pino

Kevin Rose is the founder of well known, and respected web startups as Digg, Revision3, Pownce, and most recently Milk. Much of Kevin's early tech years were spent on the television studio set at TechTV as both a production assistant and host for shows like The Screen Savers and Unscrewed with Martin Sargent. Rose has had a string of successes throughout his relatively brief career (bare in mind that Digg didn't officially launch until December 2004). Early in January 2011, Rose announced his new Foundation, which essentially is “a monthly private newsletter that features video interviews, product reviews, rants and early access to pre-launch websites.” I'm one of the thousands that have been signed up since day 1 and that is one of the best $3.99 I spend each month – guaranteed.

Darya Pino holds a Ph.D in neuroscience form UC San Francisco. Darya is the founder of the phenomenal healthy eating tips blog, Summer Tomato; where she describes herself as a San Francisco foodie and lover of local, seasonal foods. When not sharing information on Summer Tomato, Darya also writes for The Huffington Post, SF Weekly, KQED Science and Edible San Francisco.

Couple 3: MG Siegler | Sarah Lane

MG Siegler, or Paris Lemon as he is also known mostly across the interweb and on Tech Crunch where he blogs about any and everything technology. Siegler is, without question, a much sought after voice in the technology journalism world as he is known for long, extensive discussions (some may say rants) in his posts. But that's a good thing. When he's not writing about tech he is snapping Instagram pictures and writing haiku format movie reviews at an appropriately named site, reviewinhaiku.com.

Sarah Lane, reminds me of the proverbial “girl next door” and I say that in the utmost respect. I've followed Sarah for a number of years; back when she was with TechTV on The Screen Savers, then moved over to Revision3 and hosted popSiren, then her short stint at Current TV. Since then Sarah has joined the talented cast of on-air personalities on the TWiT Network as co-host of iPad Today and occasional appearances on Tech News Today with Tom Merritt.

Couple 4: Joshua Strebel | Sally Strebel

One of the coolest couples I have ever met. I had the pleasure of meeting Joshua and Sally last year at WordCamp San Francisco. I joined their army of Page.ly affiliates and then became a reseller for them (hence the Premium WordPress Hosting tag you see in the navigation bar).

Joshua Strebel is co-founder of the only organization, in my opinion, that is providing truly Premium WordPress hosting services; Allowing anybody to create a quality, secure and beautiful WordPress-based website in minutes. That company, Page.ly is based in sunny Phoenix, Arizona – which undoubtedly makes Joshua a die-hard Phoenix Suns fan. Joshua has shaped an organization that is build on 3 key principles: Integrity, Communication, and Transparency. Throw a little Grey Goose Vodka in and a love of life, and you have Page.ly.

Sally Strebel is a powerhouse in-and-of-herself. If Joshua is wearing the pants I'd say that Sally is holding the belt !! Not only is she the co-founder of Page.ly the do-it-yourself website builder based on the WordPress platform, Sally is also a founder of Obu Web Technologies, a web design, development and marketing organization based in Arizona, and also BestPartyEver.com which is a virtual party planner site that enables people to find, share, and create parties, party ideas, recipes, and vendor contact information. Her Twitter name of @BizGirl fits her well.

Couple 5: Ron Rennick | Andrea Rennick

If you know WordPress, you know Ron and Andrea – period!

Ron Rennick is a WordPress Core Committer – BOOM!! I was actually at the WordCamp when Matt himself made the public announcement and we all in attendance clapped with excitement because, as the tagline on Ron and Andrea's website says, they really are “making WordPress better.” Ron's work on WordPress 3.x has focused primarily on merging the WordPress and WordPress MU codebases. He has written well over 100 plugins and has collaborated on several plugins with other members of the WordPress community. Some of those are available via WordPress eBooks, which is a consolidated effort of both Ron and Andrea's commercial plugins, documentation & support offerings.

Andrea Rennick has been a long-term user of WordPress, since 2004, and plays an active role in support and documentation for the community at large. I know that every time I send her a tweet she responds back with insight immediately – man I love Andrea!! When not on Twitter she is responding to questions both in the overall WordPress Support Forum and also in the StudioPress member forum where her and Ron's GenesisConnect commercial plugin is helping facilitate Genesis Framework users with integrating BuddyPress functionality. In her spare time (Ha!) Andrea co-authored the next edition of WordPress All-in-One For Dummies.
