PwC's Personal Brand Week 2.0 eBook Available as Free Download 1A new personal brand eBook entitled, “Making an Impression” is now available as a free download.

The eBook combines helpful tips, advice and worksheets shared during PricewaterhouseCoopers' “Personal Brand Week 2.0” campaign. PwC is also making the personal brand eBook available free of charge to all colleges and universities in the US, where it can be shared with students as a job search resource.

“Increasingly, professionals are seeking a way to distinguish themselves from other candidates,” says Paula Loop, US and Global Talent Leader, PwC. “The personal brand eBook provides actionable advice and thoughtful tips to help job candidates develop and refine important personal brand skills.”

The personal brand eBook addresses five essential personal brand topics, including:

  • “How to perfect your pitch”
  • “Preparing for career fairs & interviews”
  • “Managing your online makeover”
  • “Building your network”
  • “Effective writing”

As part of its ongoing Personal Brand Week 2.0 campaign, PwC is sponsoring “The Best Elevator Pitch Contest” at www.facebook.com/pwcuscareers. The contest invites students enrolled at four-year colleges and universities to submit a 30-second video highlighting what makes them valuable and unique as a professional.

Submissions are due by March 25, 2011, and the winner is awarded a $5,000 cash prize.

PwC plans to hire approximately 10,000 people in the US during the 2011 fiscal year, which represents a 60 percent increase from the firm's fiscal year 2010 totals. The firm expects 6,000 of those hires from college campuses and 4,000 to be experienced professionals.
