If you're on the social interweb, you're using both tools. In fact, many businesses launched within the past 1-2 years are literally built around and fully dependent on Twitter and Facebook. So the value and worth is unquestionably there.
But step back and look at their impact on the overall web experience. How do Twitter and Facebook match up against each other? Approximately 500 million vs. 100 million users each (Facebook and Twitter respectively).
