Kodak today announced a new marketing relationship that names Kodak the consumer digital camera partner of Burton Snowboards and the Burton Super Demo Tour. Kodak is also introducing a special Kodak Playsport video camera, Burton Edition. It features an orange pixilated design resembling the Burton Custom 154 Snowboard, one of Burton's most popular products.

“Burton is a great brand for Kodak to align with to market and sell our Kodak Playsport video camera, a product designed for adventure, which Burton fans can certainly relate to,” said Phil Scott, Vice President of Marketing, Digital Capture and Devices, Kodak. “Whether jibbing or freestyling, the Kodak Playsport video camera, Burton Edition makes it fun and easy to capture and share your moments in full HD.”

The Kodak Playsport video camera, Burton Edition will be bundled with gear including a custom camera holster that fits around the arm or leg, a Kodak remote control, a Kodak lithium-ion rechargeable digital camera battery and a Kodak SDHC 4GB memory card. The product bundle will be available for $199.95 beginning in January 2011 at Burton.com and Kodak.com.

The Kodak Playsport Video Camera is a rugged, durable and pocket-size HD video camera. It is waterproof up to 10 feet, offers full 1080p HD video and 5 MP still capture, electronic image stabilization and LCD Glare Shield feature. It also has built-in software and USB cable output so consumers can edit and easily share their videos on social networking sites including YouTube, Facebook, and email.

Kodak launched its PLAYSPORT Video Camera earlier this year at the Burton U.S. Open in Stratton, VT. At the 10-city 2011 Burton U.S. Super Demo Tour, Kodak will showcase and demonstrate its new Kodak Playsport video camera, Burton Edition.
