Ryan Dant to Watch His Hero’s Team Take on Giants in Game 3

Nolan Ryan and Ryan Dant

Terminal at 4-years-old, triumphant at 22, Ryan Dant to watch his hero’s team take on Giants in Game 3 of the 2010 MLB World Series.

In 1992 Nolan Ryan gave 4-year-old Ryan Dant, terminally ill with the rare genetic disorder mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS 1) that affected only 1,000 people globally, an autographed baseball.

Saturday Dant, now 22-years-old and living life to its fullest will watch Nolan Ryan’s team take the field in Game 3 of the World Series. Many diehard Rangers fans thought they’d never live to see this day. No one thought Dant would live to see this day either, or any of the others during the past dozen-or-so years. No one, that is, except Dant, his father Mark, mother Jeanne and…his doctor, Emil Kakkis, M.D.

If you’re at the game tonight Ryan Dant and his father Mark will be available to share his inspirational story during the game.

Ryan’s hospital is the Kakkis EveryLife Foundation.

Great story !
