Android Users, Say Hello To Hellotxt 1iPhone users have enjoyed it for a while, now Android users can join in the fun at start taking advantage of Hellotxt.

The best way to describe Hellotxt is as your personal social dashboard. Accessible through both smartphones and the the web, Hellotxt has been designed to help people communicate easily with their contacts no matter what social network they are on. So that means you can keep in touch with all your closest friends on services like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Blogger, and Bebo all from one centralized app.

Now that’s pretty cool stuff right? In this time of information overload, the less places we have to thumb through on our smartphones or web screens, the better. That being said, Hellotxt has been on the front screen of my iPhone for a while now since I love the consolidation and the ability to communicate with all of those networks inside one app.

For you Android users the new and exciting features in this recent release make this app even more appealing from an interaction perspective:

  • Smart Feed: Comment, Like, and Retweet (in Facebook and Twitter) within one consolidated reading view
  • Post Location: Show where you are on the map along with your status update. You can even draw on top of the Map image with the Doodle feature
  • Doodle Your Facebook Friend: The successful Doodle feature introduced in iPhone/iPad Version 2 has been updated so you can challenge your Facebook friend to a Doodle-off online! And they don’t need a smartphone to respond! – I foresee people spending hours of time using this feature – daily productivity at work is now GONE !!
  • Fun Suggestion: Don’t have anything to say? Count on a random funny saying or quote from our crowdsourced recommendation engine! – This is ingenious. the fact that it’s crowdsourced and integrated within the app will, in my opinion, make this highly successful. Who wouldn’t want to have their own witty idea or saying flash up on smartphones all across the globe?

Enough of my rambling, here’s a video from one of the guys behind the scenes making much of this come to reality, Ryan Sommer (@rorohello)
