He’s always made a concerted effort to improve the lives of those in his home country of Haiti, but Wyclef Jean won’t be allowed to run for President this November.

The “Fugees” rapper failed to make the final list of approved candidates, as he reportedly didn’t satisfy the legal requirements.

Among the problems with his candidacy was the fact that Jean resides primarily in New Jersey, rather than in Haiti.

Wyclef seemed to be frustrated when preliminary reports surfaced that said he wasn’t eligible. And now that the final decision has been handed down he is yet to comment.

I guess rules are rules and requirements are requirements, but in Wyclef's defense, he is one of the key reasons globally why there has been so much positive assistance delivered to the massively struggling Haitian people.
