How does that sound? Ex-Fugees front man, turned solo artist, Wyclef Jean has made it known that he intends to run for the office of President of Haiti.

On Larry King Live this coming Thursday, Haitian-born Wyclef Jean (@WYCLEF) will formally announce his intentions.

Jean has been an outspoken proponent of Haiti through his Yele Foundation and was one of the first celebrities to offer aid after the devastating earthquake there in January. He told CNN late last month that he has filled out the necessary paperwork to make a run at the country's highest office.

Well – I'm certain he'll win the popular vote.

What do you think? Is this a good idea? If he were to win, would he be able to successfully transition from an entertainer to a politician ?
