NBA fans that are watching the NBA Finals between the Lakers/Suns and the Magic/Celtics are undoubtedly glued to their TV sets every moment that can – either watching the games, or checking in on the sports networks for up-to-the-minute analysis on their favorite player. Even if your favorite team isn’t playing anymore it’s all about the love of the game right? I won’t go too far down that path in case there are some die-hard Cavaliers or Jazz fans out there.

Well, for the tech savvy sports fan that has an iPad there is a neat app that allows you to see every bit of the action right in the palm of your hand. That app, which is actually was designed by the NBA is called NBA Game Time: Courtside.

[ad#Apple iTunes App Store]

With NBA Game Time: Courtside you’ve got many options available for previewing a forthcoming game, see the overall playoff bracket and where and how the teams stacked up. What I particularily like about the app is that during the game there are multiple screens showing who’s on the court, who’s scoring, what the breakdown of particular scoring and performance percentages are for each team and even a running ticker at the bottom of your screen showing current NBA news .

Check out the screen shots below of the app. It’s free in the App Store and you can get it at the link here.
