Scott Lago Forced To Leave Olympics

Yes, Scott Lago, the bronze medal winning snowboarder for the U.S.A. was disciplined and told to leave the Olympic Village for his extra-curricular photos last week

He did, forth-warn everyone that he was planning on letting loose. The forth-warning came via a tweet he sent out earlier that day after he won his medal:

“no sleep at all tonight! frends crew…..see you guys soon. doing the today show this morning, im going to be a mess!”

Joining him on the town was his Olympic teammate, Greg Bretz. Bretz posted other pictures, apparently from the same night on his Twitter profile with the caption “here’s my boi”.

Saturday, two days after the scandal hit, the US Ski and Snowboard Association President and CEO, Bill Marolt, finally issued a statement:

Scotty Lago is a great athlete, but with that comes a responsibility of proper conduct and his involvement in this situation is not acceptable. Scotty realizes his conduct was inappropriate. He has formally apologized and also made a decision to leave Vancouver today.”

Here is the picture at the center of this controversy:

What do you think of this whole situation?
