First and foremost, my sympathies go out to the families and friends of those that lost their lives in the plane crash that carried the Tesla Motors executives.

I found this story today while doing research for another story and am sickened at the nerve of this company that has attempted to use this tragic accident as a marketing activity and means to sell more insurance. Essentially Costello & Sons Insurance Company circulated the following email to Silicon Valley venture capitalists near the scene of the plane crash. [via]

This ad is causing a firestorm of bad press for this insurance agency, not just for Mr. Waxler who sent it out and who conveniently has his picture at the bottom of the ad.
