We liveblogged the 67th Annual Golden Globes tonight and it went well, thanks to all that attended.

The show itself was entertaining and there wasn’t anyone who made a crazy fool of themselves on camera (what happened off camera and in the backstage we’ll have to wait for TMZ to report that kind of behavior.

Ricky Gervais did a pretty good job as host; some of his jokes were a bit over the top (point in mind, when he called out Paul McCartney on how “expensive” of a year 2009 was for him).

Main Winners:

  • Avatar: Best motion picture – drama
  • Sandra Bullock: Best performance by an actress in a motion picture – drama
  • The Hangover: Best motion picture – comedy
  • Mad Men: Best television series – drama
  • Mo’Nique in Precious: Best performance by an actress in a supporting role

There were a number of great, heartfelt acceptance speeches, Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock come to mind, but you can’t get much more “real” than Mo’Nique. See her speech below.
