Timothy Ferriss, famous the world over for his life changing philosophy detailed in “The 4-Hour Workweek” book spend some time at WordCamp San Francisco last year talking about something very near and dear to my heart: Blogging Without Killing Yourself.
Timothy dispels some of the myths and old practices where site owners felt the need to stay up all night and post content every hour on the hour. That's not good for you, the individual, and it's also not good for the quality of content you'd be pushing out.
Understanding what your true purpose is in blogging is critical. Are you spending time online just to monetize a site with affiliate network banner ads and Google Adsense revenue OR are you looking to effectively reach and connect with a global audience and have a constructive dialogue?
I for one, am using the internet, my organization HicksNewMedia and the online mediums we produce as a means to reach, teach, and learn
