SuitableAceA good friend of mine is an accomplished musician and, with his band, SuitableAce, put together an audition track of a song you may have heard before.

I like what they’ve done with the acoustic feel to this classic Beatles track: A Ticket To Ride.

“The Beatles are the most influential group of songwriters and musicians ever. For those who aspire to a career in popular music the contributions of those four normal guys from Liverpool cannot be minimized or denied. Every act since has followed in their footsteps, sometimes copying their stylings and formats and sometimes using them as a launching board into much different approaches. Regardless, no one can say they haven’t heard of them, and even if they could, they have listened to someone along the way, and dollars to doughnuts, that act was inspired by the Beatles.

I have always wanted to do some cover versions of their music as tribute but have not had what I consider the requisite skill until now, and so I bring forth this stylized version of Ticket To Ride for your enjoyment. Thank you, John, Paul, George, and Ringo for decades of inspiration.”
