That ceremonial 1st pitch is a stressful event.

If the thrower, whomever they are, don't get the ball to the plate, all kinda embarrassment can ensue.

Luckily, President Obama has some skills in sports and, per the video below, had a naturally good time participating in the 2009 MLB All-Star ceremony.

  • Thanks for posting this! I'd been hoping to see this clip. Leading up to things, major leaguers had been saying “just don't bounce it.” So what happened? Of course, Pujols gets short hopped. Greatness though: President Obama was solid and everyone there seemed to be jazzed about it all – very positive energy. Love it!
